This week has been another great week in Morazan. The members last Saturday went to the temple and their excitement was really quite contagious. It was amazing how strong their desire to go to the temple was. The only sad part was the missionaries couldn´t go on this trip. The members have been working together for weeks to pay for the bus to go to Tegucigalpa.
I want to share a special experience I had this last week. One of the members was preparing to do baptisms for the dead for the first time. A part of this preparation was putting her family names in the computer. She was looking over the paperwork two days before the temple trip and realized that the name of her mother was wrong on the sheet. She was distraught because she wanted her mother to have the blessing of baptism. Around this time we came over to visit her and we volunteered to help her correct the mistake on the paper. After we corrected the mistake she began to tear up and thanked us for correcting the paperwork. It meant a lot to her that her mother could be baptized.
We also had the great opportunity of helping a few of inactive members come back to church this week. I really like working with inactive families because they have had a testimony of the church at one time in their lives and they just need to remember their testimony again.
I am so grateful to be here in Morazan serving as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. This is God´s true church. I have no doubt. Invite everyone to find their testimony of the church and then afterwards share it! These are important days to be working in the Work of Salvation.
Love,
Hermana Lindsey Orgill
