Excavating a Hillside!

Feb. 17, 2014

Dear Family and Friends,
I hope everyone is doing well. This week has been another good week in Honduras. We taught a lot of lessons and even did a bit of service.
To start off, we had a really weird experience this last week. We were trying to visit one of our investigators, she came to the door and then walked away. So Hermana Tamani and I thought that she went back to get the keys to open the door... But here comes the really weird part.. her husband comes to the door and says that his wife is sleeping right now so she can´t attend to us. Well, I guess that is one way to get rid of the missionaries.
We have a really special investigator named Brenda. She always does the reading we assign. This past visit we had with her she showed us her testimony that she had written in the back of her Book of Mormon. The amazing part is we didn´t invite her to write her testimony in the Book of Mormon. It was her own idea. It is so special seeing investigators who truly want to learn  more about the gospel.
Last week we also did a service project for one of our investigators Kayla and Jose. We helped them dig out part of a hillside so they can build their adobe house. We helped for a couple of hours but we could  have easily worked another forty or even an hundred hours before all the work will be done.
This upcoming Wednesday, Elder Amado of the Seventy will be visiting us in a special multi-zone conference. I am so excited! Elder Amado visited us while I was at the Guatemala MTC. He is an amazing man.
Thank you everyone for your love and support. I know this gospel is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Love,
Hermana Orgill
